Deputy Mayor of London, Richard Barnes to join judging panel for Grand FinalDeputy Mayor of London, Richard Barnes, has been confirmed as a judge at the Grand Final on Friday 10th July 2009.
Richard was appointed Deputy Mayor of London following Boris Johnson's election as Mayor on 1st May 2008. In addition to his responsibilities as the Mayor's Deputy, Richard's policy areas include communities, cohesion and sustainability, together with health and procurement.
Formally a Leader of Hillingdon Council, Richard has been a member of the London Assembly representing Ealing and Hillingdon since May 2000. He has been a member of Hillingdon Council since 1982 and is currently Ward Councillor for Harefield, where he lives.
