At the ceremony Baroness Hayman, first female speaker of the House of Lords, opened the floor to runner-up Yinka Ogunbiyi, Helen Chamberlain (3rd) and Benedict Townsend, who eloquently expressed their thanks and shared their experiences of participating in the Challenge! Reporting the story from a young person's perspective was 14 year old journalist Kamil Boriel from Headliners, a UK media agency which encourages the personal development of young people through journalism. "I had a great day. It was a fantastic opportunity to report on the achievements of these young speakers, as well as seeing how government makes its decisions," he said.

QUOTES OF THE MONTH - Here are our favourite quotes from the last few months

§ Student quote: Alice - "It was wicked! I had a really fun time and enjoyed myself. I also learnt more about my peers and I now feel more confident."
§ Teacher quote: David Brennan - : "Year after year, the standard is outstanding. With a motivating and inspirational trainer and a well structured training day, the students leave the session confident, inspired and smiling! The change in the students in just one day is unbelievable. GCSE speaking and listening will improve with these students without question."
§ VIP quote: Kasia Madera TV News Presenter, BBC - “The competition was an absolute triumph. I am still speechless by the eloquence of the contestants and now know how Simon Cowell feels. The standard of the competition was so high that judging it was one of the hardest things I have had to do!"”
§ Famous quote: Dr Seuss - “Say what you want and be who you are because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind”

Thanks for your time, and don’t forget as we always say “If you want to make a difference you have to Speak Out”
